Katrina's Foot Cover

The rhythm tracks for the new CD were recorded in New Orleans, Louisiana
just before Katrina reared her ugly head...
In fact we were set to put on the horn parts the morning of the 29th of August 2005....
Needless to say the session had to be canceled...
It has taken us the better part of a year to at least assemble a 9 song CD demo
to promote the project...
We wish to thank Gene Colley...David Johnson and their crew
for affording us the opportunity to assemble some of the more talented musicians
from the NOLA area to manifest my vision...
I had the pleasure of working with the genius of Charles "The Duke Of Harahan" Brent
who once again has shown his virtuosity on guitar..horns and arrangements...
Also Robert G. Wilson whose soulful savvy not only on bass guitar
but adding his ear to the production of the songs was real cool...
On the initial tracks was drummer/producer extraordinaire Harry Ravain
who always lays it in the pocket....
Trumpeters A.J. Pittman and Jimmy Weber provide the pop needed for the occasion...
Along with Ward Smith on tenor and bari sax who is always excellent to work with....
Jeff Chaz on the slide trombone fattened up the horn section on "Duke"...
Cori Walters who has got to be one of the hottest female drummers on the planet
added a lot to the sessions....
I named the group "Kat 5 Refugees"
because all of us have been displaced by Katrina in one way or another....
Over the years, many people have asked me about Rose and what she is up to.
This CD should answer those questions to the max. She is looking and sounding great!!
We hope you enjoy the new CD...
